In early 2021, Caregiver Omnimedia managed a national research project with March of Dimes Canada and Vividata on Home Modifications, Aging in Place, Home Care and Family Caregiving.  This research was conducted by Vividata and in conjunction with March of Dimes Canada.

Highlights of the that research include:

  • 57% of Canadians live with a disease, disability or health condition
  • 1 in 5 Canadians live with a permanent physical or metal disability
  • 78% of Canadians want to age in their current home
  • 26% of Canadians think that their home is suited to Age in Place
  • 11 Million Canadians are looking to modify their homes to Age in Place
  • $44 Billion will be spent on modifying the home in the next 2 years
